Upcoming, cant-miss upcoming fights in Mixed Martial Arts and Boxing

February 1st, 2012

Vanes "Nightmare" Martirosyan

FEBRUARY 4, 2012: Champion boxer Vanes Martirosyan will be facing off against Troy Lowry at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. Although the forty-one-year-old Lowry is coming off of a knockout victory, he has 2 victories in his last 10 fights which gives edge to the twenty-five-year-old undefeated Armenian in this matchup. The main event will feature Julio Caesar Chavez Jr.

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey

MARCH 3, 2012: Ronda Rousey is set to sqaure off against Miesha Tate for the Strikeforce women's bantamweight title. In less than 12 months, Ronda catapulted her way to the top of the 135 weight class and is a favorite to win this fight. Due to her string of armbar victories within the first minute of her fights, Ronda Rousey is as high as a -375 favorite in the matchup, with Tate slated as a +275 underdog. Lopsided to say the least.

Gegard "Dreamcatcher" Mousasi

MARCH 3, 2012: Gegard Mousasi will be in action at "Rousey vs Tate" against the experienced and talented Mike Kyle. Both fighters are coming off of wins and the winner of this match will likely get a title shot. We're expecting a dog fight because so much is riding on this fight for these fighters' futures.

Georgi "Insane" Karakhanyan

MARCH 9, 2012: Freshly crowned Tachi Palace Fights Featherweight champion Georgi Karakhanyan (17-3-1) will be putting his belt on the line against Micah Miller (17-4) at “TPF 12: Second Coming” takes place March 9 at Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif. The fight is expected to stream online. More on that as it unfolds.

Vic "Raging Bull" Darchinyan

IN APRIL (Date: TBD): Vic "Raging Bull" Darchinyan (37-4-1) gets another title shot! This time, it is in Japan against the relatively unknown  Shinsuke Yamanaka. After a disappointing performance against Anselmo Moreno, Darchinyan is looking to redeem himself in Japan and come away with another title in his quest to have the most titles in boxing history. Even though Vic is only 118 pounds, he will definitely be big in Japan.
