November 19th, 2011
Former Olympian medal winner "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey made easy work of Julia "The Jewel" Budd by way of armbar in 39 seconds of the first round.
The lightning quick and technically proficient Rousey has won all of her her professional fights by armbar in a combined two minutes and 10 seconds.
Ronda has been honing her submission skills for years at gyms such as Gokor Chivichyan's Hayastan Academy in North Hollywood, CA and Glendale Fighting Club in Glendale, CA.
Some punches landed for Budd right at the start but Rousey rammed her straight into the fence. It was a few seconds before Budd was thrown to the ground in a dangerous place
While in a mount, Rousey grabbed an arm, rolled over and started cranking on it until she heard some tapping.
Rousey said her plan is to move down to 135 pounds and go after Victoria's Sara Kaufman and then champion Miesha Tate.
Ronda Rousey will be featured in the next episode of The HyeFighters Show.
